Haus Am Dornig in Ebensfeld

It was always very nice, but one could have responded to the wishes and suggestions of the guests (as well-intentioned support). The customer is and remains king.

Really very nice location, great view and a lot of potential. We can only rate the service and the drinks there. The drinks were good. Unfortunately not everything was there. From the first moment you didn't feel really welcome. Which is really a shame, especially after the corona crisis. The hostess broadcast a maximum of undesirability towards us. The host was very helpful and polite. The mere response to every negative Google rating shows the unprofessionalism. The inn was known for a long time for super organic ice cream, unfortunately it no longer exists there, but it is still advertised with it. Even when asked about bandages, the hostess reacted unfriendly and then explained that it costs extra ... The desired relaxation after a long hike can unfortunately not be found there ...

Small restaurant with adjacent small archery course with 28-30 targets. Small forest area with partly stony ground. Still beautiful.

Finally real cheese spaetzle !! Not the cheapest restaurant, not the largest portions, but made with the best ingredients and with love and in a great location.

There is not much to say. Tenants are not innkeepers and will not be. Rarely experienced a shop with such a lack of planning.

As a great friend of the Genussegion Franken, I was looking forward to a nice weekend at Haus Am Dornig. Unfortunately, not much was felt here by friendliness and hospitality. I was traveling with 12 friends and the only guests in the house. I had the feeling that at the same time several tour groups had to be processed .... as stressed as the staff did. Too bad that here so little joy in the guest was felt.

We were guests in the bed house for a weekend with 13 people. Since we travel annually and always book group accommodation, we already have comparison options. We do not expect a high standard in group accommodation, but the sanitary facilities should already be cleaned. There is an absolute need for improvement here. It was very cold in all rooms as there was no heating. But what shocked us most was the way we were received and the way we treated us as guests. You felt like you were a burden. The kitchen was cleaned when we sat in the dining room. We wanted to go into the lounge because of the smell of the cleaning agents. This was also not heated. No trace of the hospitality and friendliness that is otherwise lived in Upper Franconia. However, own drinks under threat of fines are prohibited. Food was good, but breakfast counted down. I cannot imagine a school class with hungry children here. When asked for something to drink for breakfast, the answer was that the supplier did not deliver. Finished. We would have been happy with tap water. Then came the answer that we shouldn't drink! A wonderful area with excellent restaurants, but I would not recommend this house to anyone! A pity

We stayed for 2 nights with 13 women in the next house (bed house). No one else lives in the hostel except us, so you really can not talk about overcrowding or overloading. Unfortunately, we still had the feeling from the beginning that we as guests rather a burden. There was a lack of friendliness and hospitality, as the simplest wishes were met loveless with eye rolls and ugly comments, whether it was only the question of more coffee for breakfast or maybe even a water. 9.30 o'clock we were asked to dissolve the breakfast round, since they finally until the opening of the restaurant (11 o'clock !!!) still much to do. All we have to say is that we visited many a restaurant on this weekend and were delighted by the friendliness, the great food of the Franconian cuisine and the humor. But the house at the Dornig remains forever in our memory as a house in which cordiality, friendliness, open-mindedness and a certain feel-good factor on the rise to the same have been lost. Too bad.

Good food with local products. Only the collection of food by announcement is a bit impersonal. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful.

On the 1st of May we took a trip here. Since we were on time, there was no problem with the choice of location. Nice atmosphere in the beer garden! Only the menu was a bit thin (due to the holiday).

Everything OK. During my visit, the ordering process was a bit chaotic but still worked well. There is still room for improvement so 3 * (all ok)

Always good. One of the most beautiful beer gardens / terraces in our region. Sensational sunset.

Were there because we actually knew the restaurant from earlier and the Easter Bunny should come. Arrived we are 11.30 clock. At the beverage order we were told, that only a part of the offered drinks, because it was not expected, that on the Easter weekend and good weather so much going on. Would have loved to try the internet offered food. Again, we were warned that in case of too much rush these dishes can not be cooked and you slimming the card. Unfortunately, the dishes offered, the majority of snack foods. Currywurst too long in the deep fryer, sauce not very tasty. Potato pancakes from the TK. When I wanted to go with the fries mayo and ketchup, it was said that the day before was a children's birthday and the children had made everything as good as empty. There was still a bit of ketchup. When asked about mayo then their eyes were twisted with the words, "next time they say whatever they want to!" No thanks, there will not be a next time.

Definitely worth a visit due to the new tenants! The guests are very personable and very nice! The food is delicious too. It is based on regional products. Top! Price-performance is suitable!

Child schnitzel was not so good ... we had children's schnitzel unfortunately meat was inedible ... Milk coffee ... cake and snack are good .. Thank you for your answer ... we will definitely come back and let us surprise ... only please next time just say what is out and not someone .. a 6 year old child almost 1 hour to wait to determine the one what does not have .... ? Dear the same ... Child Schnitzel is out .. !! Then there would have been 4 instead of 2 stars ...

We were looking forward to a good snack on Pentecost Sunday after a hike. The restaurant was difficult to find, as the signposts were inaccurate. The snack there was mostly sausage, which was already graying on the edge, the prices were totally excessive and the self-service. The only positive was the peace and the beautiful location with a good view. That's why I forgive only one star.

We were there a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the first and last time. In itself it is really nice and if the playground would be a bit prepared, also ideal for children / families. Unfortunately, this is rather old. The food selection is rather limited. And what we got then as a snack plate, was really a joke. Three careless little piles of meat (including liver sausage), a cucumber and radishes as an addition. At a snack, I introduce myself more. Unfortunately, it could not convince taste. Too bad, because it is really very nice and idyllic. You could definitely make more out of it.
